About Feed.Us

Feed.Us (pronounced "Feed Us") is a "content management platform".  We create content publishing & management applications that install on websites via embed code. Content is "fed" to websites via our web service and works on any platform.

Feed.Us is owned by Great States Software, LLC.  We are a small team located in Chicago, Milwaukee, and New Jersey.

Background:

Feed.Us is mainly Rick Stratton, John Welborn and Cliff Gray.  But we've had a lot of help:  Brian Timpone, Jason Habbley, Cliff Gray, Diana Maldonado, Phil Plencner, John Kissmatis and the guys from New Leaders.

This all began in 1998 during the first "dotcom boom".  We all worked together at Guitar.com/ePrairie.com/Epigraph.com and created a CMS that ran our community websites.

In 2001, after the "dotcom bust", we started a web development firm called 1871 Media.  1871 created publishing and ecommerce apps and designed websites for newspapers and community groups.  In 2007, we sold 1871 Media to Manifest Digital.

That sale gave us the opportunity to build the content platform that we had dreamed about.  We could have (should have?) started some sort of social network for dog owners.  But content publishing has always been our passion and Feed.Us became our focus.

Our goal with Feed.Us? A CMS that's easy to use and incredibly simple to install with built-in ways to spread that content across a network or outside sites.

And in July, 2009 we launched Feed.Us.  Now our goal is to help you with your publishing products.  Contact us today and let us know how we can help.
